About

We started this firm because the work in front of us required a different shape.

Interwoven Systems was founded in 2026 by Zack and Abby Wyatt to do work that didn’t fit anywhere else.

The story

Three threads, woven into one practice.

For nearly a decade, Zack ran Carolina Farm Trust — a Charlotte-region nonprofit that grew from an idea about land access into a 25,000-square-foot community food market, a network of urban farms, and a farmer apprenticeship program. He learned what every food systems operator eventually learns: the hardest problems aren’t agricultural. They are operational, financial, technological, political, and human. And the people who can speak fluently to all of them are rare.

In parallel, Zack worked as a US Sales Director at Cambridge Technology, an enterprise IT and data-services firm that helps companies transform around cloud and AI. Same lesson, from the other side: every technology transformation is really a people, process, and systems-design problem in disguise.

Abby spent years inside Mecklenburg County’s Livable Meck initiative as its manager — the role responsible for the partnerships, KPIs, and cross-departmental collaboration that decide whether a community engagement effort actually changes anything. She is, in plain terms, the person who has done the work that most consultancies talk about doing.

Interwoven is what happens when those three threads — food, technology, community — get woven into a single practice.

Founders

Operators turned advisors.

Zack Wyatt

Founder & Principal

Zack is a systems thinker, operator, and entrepreneur. He founded Carolina Farm Trust in 2015 and has led it through ten years of growth into one of the Southeast’s most ambitious regional food systems organizations, including the launch of the CFT Market, the Urban Farms Network (Aldersgate Farm and Free Spirit Farm), and the Farm Apprenticeship program.

He also serves as a US Sales Director with Cambridge Technology, where he focuses on cloud, big-data, and AI-driven enterprise transformations. Earlier in his career, he was a senior consultant at Silotech Group and co-founder and general manager of BizQueue.

He grew up on a 300-acre dairy farm in northern Virginia, and he lives in Cornelius, North Carolina.

Where we work

Based in the Carolinas. Working globally.

Based in Cornelius and Charlotte, North Carolina. We work regionally across the Carolinas, nationally with food councils and foundations, and internationally on food systems projects where the combination of operational, technical, and community expertise is in short supply.

“Have a food systems problem that’s outgrown its current container? Let’s talk.”
